My Dior Makeover Review and new HydraLife !

Oh Dior Dior. You have restored my faith in your makeup products. Dior is one of the first few brands I bought when I first started makeup. (My first was Bobbi Brown) But, I don’t know ~ through time I kinda found Chanel to be my favorite and branched out to others.. I never went back to Dior because I didn’t think the colors fit me – more like, for European skin tones.. but.. obviously I am wrong, it’s just I never had someone apply the RIGHT colors and right shades. I was invited to the International VIP Makeover by Dior Makeup artist week, but I was so busy, I totally forgot about it Missed out big time.

Previously, My favorite products from Dior only included:

• My Number 1 Mascara: Dior Show, or Blackout
• 5 Quad Eyeshadow Palettes
• Recently Number 1 Favorite: Dior Addict Lipsticks

Yes, the list is extremely short. Sorry, Dior. One of my first ever Skincare product from Dior was the little green oval bottle of cream, and the hydrating spray. They were “ok”, I didn’t repurchase… Guess what I found out. That line was DISCONTINUED and replaced by something New. Called.. HydraLIFE. Same EXACT shape of the bottle, almost same color. But Upgraded Packaging, AND upgraded ingredients. I am skeptical of course, I used this a while back~ so the makeup artist put the new products on me, and hey… it’s actually way better than the old one.. You feel the instant “water” hydration on your face. Anyway. more about that topic below~ That was actually the reason why I got into a discussion at the Dior Counter~ and got SUCKED in with a FREE MAKEOVER….HAHAH..

I probably had like, a sign over my face that read “JUNKIE”.. “SELL ME ANYTHING N I’LL BUY IT”.

On to the Makeover, what I learned was….

I WAS PUTTING ON MAKEUP WRONG MY WHOLE LIFE!!!

1. Foundation ON FIRST.
2. THEN APPLY concealer over it, blend blend blend.

NOT, … APPLY Concealer first, cover with Foundation. Sigh. I’m such a noob. -_-’ no wonder.. it doesnt cover as flawless/cakey. HAHAHAHA… . . ..  . I thought that if you put concealer over foundation, it would have like a “RING” ..you know, when it’s too light?? She was like, “well u have to blend it a LOT? lol..” …………OOPS I hope you guys can learn from my mistakes -_-

Here’s the end result of the makeover. The Lashes are from Lash Royalty, in the previous Post! Mind you, the pictures in that POST was what makeup I had before I went out the door that AM. This was what she did/applied over what I had, wow.. it’s so much better…………… hahaha It was 10pm when i took these pics, doesn’t look like I have dark circles right? that’s because the concealer is ON TOP of the foundation. BWAHAH.

Here are the products that were used to achieve this look above, that I purchased:

WOW. I just realized something retarded. Just as I was typing this post. I realized, I didn’t buy the concealer -_-.. good job me. Anyway, I believe the concealer is the Dior Nude Skin Perfecting Hydrating Concealer in Beige 002. It’s very very smooth and velvetly, not THICK..seems like it’s made out of water! That was what I wanted to try, Mac was SO cakey and THICK! I also wanted a long lasting, buildable natural foundation, from Light to Med.. so she recommended Dior Skin Airflash Spray Foundation. WOW.. it is pretty good.. so flawless! It’s like a FLUID Mist that you spray on a brush, and apply~

Very silky indeed..creates a very airbrushed effect, that is flawless.. I am in number 300 – Medium Beige. I went 1 shade darker so that in the summertime, it will be right color coverage . Also, this is suppose to be long lasting..and will help control the Oil. No powder needed after using this – otherwise it will look cakey. Next onto the Blush. Beautiful color.. wow …

This is the Bronze Harmonie de Blush in 002 – Coral Rivera (Tawny Corals). They also have a pink version – Rose Brazilia (Warm Pinks) SPARKLY oooo… Next is the eyeshadow palette that I’m pretty familiar about. I was using Chanel Palette Fall Edition (Brown), so she thought it would be good to pair it up with something like purple/grey/blue.. turns out.. GREAT match!

This palette has 5 colors, the black color is actually a eyeliner, to complete the look.. there’s SO many ways to use this palette, you could interchange, mix the colors together and use it with a wet brush to intensify..etc so great. I think I am finally getting the combo right..blend and build~

Finally, finish it up with one of the most beautiful shades. Dior Addict “LA”.. one of favorites from another beauty guru, Mona! It’s this extremely richly pigmented color~ and it’s sorta like, pink/coral.

Yup yup. That’s all! and tons of blending. Aside from this… She told me she noticed my face is so dry.. because of the wintery NY weather.. so she suggested that I try the HYDRALife again…so she gave me free samples.

The orangy color is the Hydralife serum, and the white is the cream. So far, I have only used it for 1 day, so far so good.. will let you guys know later what I think! For sure, right out of the gate.. this is definitely better than the previous version of their creams. “This luxurious collection contains five must-have moisturizers that will leave your skin blossoming with youthfulness. Formulated with three pure plant extracts—Jisten, Centella, and black rose—the creams diffuse hydration for spectacularly smooth and luminous results.” Parabin Free. The serum is a whopping $73 dollars and the Sorbet Creme is $56 !

I was also sold by this new toner. The only toner i use is the oil controlling toner from Chanel. I’m actually FINALLY almost done w/ it..HAHHAA. Time for a new one! ^_^ This one is way different, it’s SO refreshing and clean feeling immediately!

Hello everyone! Halloween is coming up~ this is the 3rd week of October.. have you guys decided what you are going to be? It’s almost your last chance! My boyfriend went to Florida for the Universal Halloween Horror Nights ~ but I didn’t go because I’m scared of that stuff hahaha. Halloween is obviously not my favorite holiday, except being able to dress up / diff makeup and such.
